  • JUNKIE XL LAUNCHES BOOMING BACK AT YOU

'In the 80's I became musically mature, music from that era is just in my blood.'

(Amsterdam, NL) - Junkie XL, the world renowned producer, is back with a bang. His new album 'Booming Back At You' will be unleashed upon the world on 10th March.

With his new album he's going back to the dance-floors as it will be much more electronic and will feature danceable tracks. Tom Holkenborg (Junkie XL's real name) wanted to capture the energy of his live performances in this album, making it much more raw and energetic than it's predecessor Today from 2006. His newest work, released on Artwerk, will be presented to the Dutch crowd on the 26th March at the Melkweg in Amsterdam.

Junkie XL is not a man who likes to sit still. When he isn't working on a new album or gigging abroad, he is working on new movie or game soundtracks. The first single of this new album, More, already appeared in the latest edition of the Need For Speed series and the label Artwerk fits well within this new way of distribution.

The Booming Back At You album is no concept album. It's a compilation of tracks all tested and proven worthy on the international dance-floors over the last year. Its very easy to hear that Junkie XL is refreshing his sounds on the go. His new tracks go back to his musical roots from the '80s.

"In the 80's I became musically mature, music from that era is just in my blood", he said. He also decided to cooperate with new and talented musicians who he mostly met on the internet. "After working with so many big names in the industry, it seemed more fun and challenging to work with upcoming artists this time."

The Melkweg was a easy choice for Junkie XL to release his album. "I just think the Melkweg is a great place and after the reconstruction it got even better." So on 23rd March, the Melkweg will be the place to be to witness the latest creation from Junkie XL. Tickets are for sale and will cost Euro 14.
